How do you read Residence Massacre updates?
Use Latest Update when you only need the current drop. Use Patch Notes when you need the dated log. A Roblox timestamp only says something shipped.
What changed in Residence Massacre recently?
- Anniversary 2026 re-run
On August 28, 2026, Party was reworked into a standard Night 1 modifier. The Milestone Party Hat and returning anniversary hats were listed in the Hat shop for that limited window. Crate machines stayed removed.
- Outfit changes
On August 23, 2026, outfits were retied to specific badges. The 100 percent non-limited Badge Index reward is still the Mutation outfit. The 75 percent milestone is Raver, not House Chaos.
- Night 1 Rework
On August 21, 2026, the house layout and cameras were rebuilt and closet hiding became a QTE. The item shop and crates merged into the Coins Shop plus a hat row. VIP stopped granting 1.5× Coins and instead refreshes a daily quest and includes the Retro outfit. Double Coins still doubles night, memory, and Endless night payouts, not quests. PvP stayed off. Night 4 stayed unreleased.
- TIX renamed to Coins
On August 8, 2026, TIX branding was removed after Roblox moderation and the wallet was republished as Coins. Earn rates and prices were described as equivalent. Crate gambling was removed in that lockdown pass.
- January 2026 quality-of-life
PvP was removed on January 9, 2026. The same quality-of-life period made the flashlight follow the camera, disabled mobile auto-jump, made the Night 2 radio-tower ladder break if you idle on it, and cut Night 2 Blizzard damage from 20 per second to 10 per second. Removed PvP skins were refunded 2,000 of the currency, which was still labeled TIX then.
- Night 3 at Lakeview Camp
The camp night is dated August 31, 2025 on its walkthrough. One hub line says August 1, 2025. The night adds the lodge, gas cans, the shotgun, The Worker's mutation into Husk and Spider, and the soldier ending.
- Modifiers added
On January 31, 2025, Thunderstorm, Bloodmoon, Party, Graves, and Blizzard were added. They were rebalanced again in the August 21, 2026 Night 1 Rework. A clear with a modifier pays about 10 extra Coins.
